Expert in low-temperature preservation of germ cells

Dr. Liu Jun has over 20 years of experience in human clinical embryology and reproductive medicine research, and his most famous research is on low-temperature preservation of germ cells. He is proficient in all techniques of the embryo laboratory, including conventional in vitro fertilization, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), testicular and epididymal sperm preparation, embryo culture, embryo transfer and assisted hatching, oocyte and embryo cryopreservation, preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD)/screening (PGS) for embryo biopsy, semen analysis, and cryopreservation.

Dr. Liu Jun's team has established a theoretical model that integrates the dynamics of water and low-temperature protectants across cell membranes, and forms the same dynamics as low-temperature media, which is applied to clinical low-temperature preservation procedures to fine tune the vitrification schemes under various low-temperature preservation conditions to achieve optimal patient performance.
